Day Twenty-Two

The theme of the story is friendship. I know that I have repeated it OVER AND OVER but that is like one the main things that I want to portray. True friendship is one of the things that teens are lacking and I do not want young kids to pick up what we have.

Here is the list of things that I want to lead up to the message:
- Tya is really mean to people
- Bailey is really shy
- Makes 3 wishes off of 3 wishing stars (wishes for a good friend)
- Tya realizes that she has no friends and Bailey thinks that Tya might be the friend he wished for.
- Bailey is rich.
- Tya is poor.
- They eat dinner together and realize that they are really different.

The moral to the story is... If you wish to have true friendship with someone, learn to accept each other's faults, as well as each other's good qualities. I think that teaching kids about friendship early is good. This will help them develop healthy friendships and hopefully long lasting friendships. That is the message that I want to send across.
