Those things are very important because they make up the story and without these things you would not have any story. Besides having a grasshopper and a toad I wanted to have people like a little boy or girl (because I could not think of any animals) I wanted one to be rich and one to be poor. Like I said before I wanted the children to understand that if you have a true friend that is always there for you, it should not matter where you come from.

I like your theme, I think it is really important to teach kids about friendship because some people (in the older stages of life) still don't even know the true meaning of friendships. I like the idea :)
